Upon delivery from the auction, the rear bumper was off the car, as were the rear well liners and both rear lights. All items arrived with the car, and all were intact, other than bumper. All attaching hardware was in a box. The rear lights were in excellent shape, but the right rear had a scratch on the lens, so we replaced the light. Rear bumper had side scrape markings, but we simply repaired and repainted it.
The Viper damage was limited to a sliding curb/sign hit by the rear wheel and bumper only (see CARFAX in photos- Minor Damage). The rear brake rotor was broken, the rear wheel was bent but all suspension items intact. As a precaution only, we replaced the rear hub and bearing, and the right rear axle shaft. None were needed, but since the wheel hit a curb, we wanted all to be super cautious so no issue would arise. We replaced the right rear brake rotor as it was broken, then added a new set of 5 spoke Viper rims and had a 4-wheel alignment done. Car drives great and straight!
The Viper did have some custom paint, so see Upgrades below.
The car arrived with Plasticoat blackened stock 2005 wheels. With one wheel bend and the right front with curb rash, we upgraded the wheels with Viper 5-spoke with gloss black lugs.
The car had some well applied custom overcoat paint - with purple hood, trunk lid and fender/door tops and a Gen 5 Stryker head ghosted on the hood with a Gen 5 hood badge. We decided stock color of black was best, so returned all items to black, adding a new Gen 3 front bumper badge also. We did leave the ghosting of 'VIPER STR10' on both of the exhaust cover panels, as it looked unique, so we simply cleared over it.
The Viper had a nice Bluetooth sound system, Sirius Ready (just start an account), but the stock door speakers were replaced with custom Focal speakers, and the sub box had the air horn removed (a viper rattle issue in all Gen 3), sound insulation added inside, and covered with DynaMat Premium on the box, which makes the stock SubWoofer much deeper.
We removed the tall, stock shifter knob; replacing with a SpeedDawg custom knob and lowering stem. Buyer has the option of original or the lowered knob also. We also added a set of Lloyd's Viper floor mats.
The Viper also has a driver seat lowering kit (2 inches) installed, and this kit allows the seat to move back and forth too! Great for taller drivers.
